What data we collect and why

Website visitors

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data. We collect no personally identifiable information from casual visitors.

Sample request form

When you request a free sample, we collect:

  • Email address — to deliver your sample report and communicate about our service
  • Phone number — to understand your needs and follow up if requested
  • Company name (optional) — to tailor our communication
  • Industry segment — to send you relevant sample data

This data is stored in Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email and contact management platform. Brevo is GDPR compliant and processes data within the EU.

Lawful basis: Consent. You actively submit the form and confirm your email via double opt-in.

Business lead data (our product)

The leads we provide to subscribers contain business information gathered from publicly available sources:

  • Council licensing registers — public record under the Licensing Act 2003
  • Companies House — public register of UK companies and directors
  • Google Business Profiles — publicly listed business information
  • Food Standards Agency — public food hygiene ratings

Lawful basis: Legitimate interest. This is publicly available business-to-business data. We process company director names, business phone numbers, and business email addresses for the purpose of enabling commercial sales activity between businesses. Directors of limited companies have a reduced expectation of privacy regarding their publicly filed business information.

We do not process personal data of private individuals. All data subjects are company directors or business operators whose details appear on public registers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data
  • Restriction — request we limit how we use your data
  • Object — object to our processing of your data
  • Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format

Cookies

We do not use cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free and privacy-preserving.

Data retention

  • Sample request data: Retained in Brevo until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Business lead data: Updated weekly. Stale records are removed from active datasets after 12 months.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Our data processors:

  • Brevo (email/contact management) — EU-based, GDPR compliant
  • Cloudflare (hosting, DNS, analytics) — GDPR compliant, no personal data collected

Data security

Our website is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption provided by Cloudflare. Contact data is stored in Brevo’s encrypted infrastructure. We do not store payment card details.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated to existing contacts via email.
